It’s a great real estate market out there. Homes are spending less time on the market before being snapped up by buyers. Days on market slid to just 49, a 12.5 percent decrease over 12 months, according to the North Texas Real Estate Information System.

December is known as the month for dedicated buyers, including many who are relocating to the Dallas/Fort Worth area just in time for the New Year.
Across North Texas, prices are up 9 percent from the same time last year, according to the most recent Standard & Poor’s Case-Shiller Home Price Index. These increases, as well as the steady number of buyers looking to make a purchase by the end of the year, make December a great time to list your home.
