Mac Robinson left his daughter almost 20 years ago to pursue his crack cocaine addiction. His journey took him to 21 different drug rehabilitation facilities, and he tried to commit suicide three times.
Today Robinson, 53, is sober and a student at the World Impact Bible Seminary with plans to open his own ministry to help other men on the street. And he is trying to be a father again, a part of the life of his now 26-year-old daughter.

As a young girl, Angela Fields lacked exposure to positive opportunities – something she’s devoted her life to changing on behalf of all underprivileged girls. Fields is the founder and executive director of Rae’s Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides life skills, fitness and education to underprivileged girls across Dallas.
Many women faced with an unplanned pregnancy feel hopeless – as if they have no options. “While working at Thrive Pregnancy Resource Center, I noticed many women weren’t considering adoption,” said Ellen Porter, founder of BraveLove, a hub for adoption stories and education that works to remove the stigma of adoption.
For Porter, adoption isn’t just a job; it’s quite literally her way of life. With two biological and two internationally adopted children, Porter knows “the beauty adoption brings.”

Before they came to the Snowball Express event last December, the teenage son of a fallen soldier had never talked with his mother about the death of his father eight months earlier. On the first night, after a full day of fun in Dallas, the mother found her son talking with another teenager, opening up for the first time about his father.
