Play for a Cause: Playhouse Raffle for PKD
September 10th, 2013 | by AB
Have you bought your raffle ticket yet for the Children’s Playhouse? Briggs Freeman International Sotheby’s Realty has generously donated a custom built playhouse to be raffled off at the Walk for PKD September 21, 2013. The playhouse is on display now at Central Market in Southlake along with ticket sales the weekends of September 6th and 13th. Tickets cost $5 each or five for $20.
PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) affects more than 600,000 Americans and is more common than Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, sickle cell anemia, hemophilia and Huntington’s disease—combined. It can develop before birth or lay hidden for decades but in both cases involves the growth of cysts in the kidneys which, over time, leads to kidney failure. At this time there is no cure for PKD. Groups such as the PKD Foundation are working diligently to raise funds for research.
The play house raffle drawing will be held on September 21st at the North Texas Walk for PKD, which begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Southlake Town Square.
