UP With Reading Was A Huge Success!

This year, UP with Reading, the summer reading program hosted by the University Park Library and sponsored by Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, saw more than 675 participants – some of whom spent more than 100 hours with books, magazines and e-readers.

Research shows that reading books over the summer can prevent what is known as the “summer slump” and help students not just retain what they learned last year but also enter the next school year with more advanced skills.

Look for “Up with Reading” yard signs across the neighborhood celebrating kids who care about books.
